My name is Dr. Marjorie Lozama, and I’m a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)-prepared, Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health while ensuring they feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way. As a caring and compassionate listener, I believe everyone has the right to quality mental health care, and it is my mission to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can work toward living your best life.
I became a mental health provider because I saw a need in my community, particularly within the Haitian and other underserved communities. There is a significant gap in mental health services, especially those that are culturally sensitive and inclusive. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the mental health disparities and stigma that affect people of color, and I knew I wanted to be a part of the solution. My goal is to bridge these gaps by offering care that is not only professional and effective but also culturally competent and empathetic.
